GARUDA PLUS (Multi Axle A.C)

To provide smooth comfortable riding and faster journey to the passengers of interstate and Intra state, APSRTC planned to introduce Multi Axle A/C buses of Mercedes Benz and Volvo make under brand name of "'GARUDA PLUS". Initially 41 buses (20 Mercedes Benz & 21 Volvo) are planned which meet BS-III emission norm.

THE SALIENT FEATURES

  • Ergonomically designed reclining sears (49 Nos) with calf supported (44 seats) with magazine pouch, bottle holder and coat hanger.

These buses are provided with air suspension, 2x2 pull/push back (115 degrees) seats having a capacity of 45 seats, individual reading lamps to each seat besides audio and video entertainment. Interior panel is made up of soft carpet for roof, ribbed carpet for side panels, single glazing light, tinted glass windows, flooring with vinyl, over chequered plywood and large luggage space (9 Cu.Mts.) in 3 compartments. The Garuda buses can be operated with maximum speed of 115 KMPH and giving luxurious comfort to the customers. The following facilities were provided to the travelling public.

INDRA A / C BUSES
To provide a comfortable and low fare A C buses to the passengers, APSRTC planned to introduce A/C buses called "Indra" with a fare between Super Luxury and Garuda. Initially 100 buses are planned on 12 mtr Ashok Leyland chassis which meet BS-III emission norm.

CITY SERVICES
METRO DELUXE COACH FOR TWIN CITIES OF HYDERABAD AND SECUNDERABAD

Metro Deluxe Coaches with better features like attractive colour scheme, seat comfort, wider windows etc., are introduced in place of Metro liners for the benefit of long distance city commuters.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The new metro express introduced in Hyderabad city recently has the following features:

•  Seats are improved to provide better comfort to the passengers.
• Wider middle entrance (1352 mm PC) is provided for easy entry and exit of the passengers
   with assist rails.
• Bigger windows are developed keeping in view of the passengers preference foe better sonic
   coverage.
• In view of the increase in size of the window, the passengers may get exposed to sun light.
   Hence smoke grey tinted glasses are provided.
• Interiors of the bus i.e. ceiling is provided in PVC coated Alluminium sheets to improve the aesthetics
   and to eliminate repeated painting.
• Decorative beadings are given to add to the aesthetics of the interiors.
• Side finishers are provided with FRP for better appearance and durability.
• Full length saloon lighting with special grill is developed to improve the lighting. One tube light
   in each bay is provided with a continuous grill of 10" width.
• The additional destination board at entrance facilitates the passenger to know the route and
   destination before boarding the bus.
• PU paints developed by M/s ICI Ltd., are used on this bus which give better finish and gloss
   when compared to SE paints.
• The new color scheme is developed and adopted.
• Special provisioning is given in the new Metro-Express buses to display advertisements inside
   the bus above the windows at the curved portion of the roof.
• Chequered plywood flooring is provided with 2 mm vinyl overlay for better passenger feel
   and lesser noise.
• More number of assist rails are provided in the bus for the convenience of standing
   passengers.
• FM radio with PAS is provided in all the buses as FM radio is found to be popular among
   the city commuters.
